I wanted to do something a little different for this week’s newsletter.

I talk a lot about owning your wins, acknowledging your progress and being bold in your career.

I also like to lead by example for our community.

So in the essence of that, I have a major milestone to share with you.

We just wrapped up our first in-person event of 2025 in NYC and all I can say is wow!

The energy, the relationships, the exchanges, the guest speakers, the caliber of attendees…was more than I could have ever hoped for.

Everything that just went down from the connections made, meaningful insights shared, and a game-changing experience for everyone involved, me included, has forever impacted where we go next.

I couldn’t be more grateful to have new powerful women joining us on this journey!

While everything's fresh, I wanted to share the behind-the-scenes and takeaways in real-time with you.

So here’s my unfiltered, unedited brain dump.

From inception to execution

When my team and I decided to further deepen our relationship with you, our amazing community, we knew that taking things offline was a must, but also a bit of an unknown.

The power of having the right women, in the right room, at the right time is priceless.

What began as an initial vision turned into the most magical live experience. To say this felt surreal would be a massive understatement.

There’s something truly special about seeing this come to life.

My team and I worked tirelessly to think of every detail that would create magic moments.

From booking the beautiful venue, to personalized invitations inviting our guests, to planning the itinerary for an unforgettable event, to the menu choices, to spoiling our guests with gifts and surprises, to hand-written personalized cards…we poured our heart and soul into this experience to make it one to remember.

The outcome? Instant feedback like:

The power of women supporting women

This event wasn’t just about being in person (although that was something we knew would take things to the next level in our mission).

It was about something even bigger. Bringing together ambitious women to step into their fullest potential by removing the roadblocks standing in their way.

As female professionals, we face a lot of obstacles that hold us back.

It’s extremely rare to find a safe space where we can exchange honestly, openly and in a way that lifts each other up to bring out our best. That’s what this event was all about.

Of course, the learnings gained and the practical strategies shared equipped our attendees to land better roles, achieve faster growth and earn more with confidence.

At the heart of it though, it was also about breaking through insecurities, working past blind spots and uncovering what’s truly possible in your career.

We brought together a curated group of women across tech and consumer brands including Google, Microsoft, IBM, Apple, Uber, Starbucks, Unilever, L’Oreal, Adobe, Squarespace, Affirm, Zoom, Peloton, Bose, Macy’s, Starbucks, DocuSign and more.

The event was intentionally intimate to allow for meaningful conversations and new friendships formed.

We even had attendees fly in from Europe, across the US and Canada to be here.

I’m so humbled and feeling immense gratitude.

One of my favourite moments was at the very beginning of the day over breakfast. We had tables set up for our guests and as the women were trickling in, they did something wonderful.

Instead of sitting at different tables, they immediately pushed more tables together to include everyone from the moment they met.

That’s not coincidence. That’s connection.

The right guest speakers made all the difference

When we were choosing our Fortune 500 speakers for the event, we knew it had to be epic.

And they did not disappoint.

They shared invaluable industry insights and gave the current pulse of what's working right now to land better roles and achieve more growth.

From building leadership, soft skill strategy, leveraging AI, overcoming imposter syndrome, discussing the latest market trends, solidifying your candidacy for internal and external roles, being agile in today’s market, we left no stone unturned.

Beyond the fireside chat sessions themselves, our speakers were so generous and and even stayed for lunch and breaks to answer more questions and connect with our attendees.

Needless to say, everyone felt empowered, inspired and ready to take action on what matters most.

Last thoughts

With the speed of AI moving at an unprecedented rate, EQ and soft skills have never been more important.

Your hard and technical skills only take you so far in your career growth. Especially now.

Having the opportunity to be together in person, talk about the topics that matter most, and learn practical strategies that help you level up faster is something people are craving.

The energy in the room this past weekend made that abundantly clear.

Whether I heard “I wish I knew this earlier”, “I feel so seen”, “I really get the power of coaching now”, the shifts are happening in real-time and we are so excited to help you uncover that.
